Placement Opportunities

We at Aloe Counselling have been hard at work at creating a training centre that gives back to the local community.  We are passionate about providing ethical, responsible and professional counselling students in placements.  All our students are offered robust support as they undertake their counselling placements. We are delighted to be able to work in partnership with the Property Angels Foundation a domestic abuse charity based in St Neots and throughout Huntingdonshire.  We are able to offer some of our students placement opportunities to work with this charity.  All our counsellors are Level 4 trainees and are thoroughly supported, supervised and abide by all the same rules, regulations and confidentiality as qualified counsellors. Our student counsellors hold personal liability insurance and belong to a professional membership.

We are so proud to have been able to attend the Property Angels Foundation Annual Charity Ball which was a huge success.  The night was filled with fun and laughter and the chartity was able to raise much needed funds to help women of domestic abuse and are so proud to be able to offer our counselling services to this wonderful charity.

We are also deligted to have teamed up with Peterborough Counselling Centre to provide further placement opportunities to our Level 4 students.   Peterborough Counselling Centre is a wonderful organisation that provided support to the local community. The Centre has been supporting level 4 students in undertaking their placements for a number of years and we are please to be able to offer this as possible placement to our level 4 students. 

Peterborough Counselling Centre offer a professional confidential counselling service to suit individuals, couples, children, families, young adults, and businesses as part of their EAP.  Their aim is to offer therapy that suits everyone’s financial position, that is flexible with a choice of therapists, approaches and no waiting times.

We have aslo been hard at work to connect with Cornerstond Pregnancy Advice Centre in Huntingdon and are currently exploring ways of offering some level 4 Diploma studetns a possible placement at this wonderful agency.  We will update the website once we have more information.

NEWS UPDATE: We are so proud to say that all of our September 2023- cohorts have successfully passed their external assessments.  Well done to all of you for your hard work and dedication to the course and each other.  We are also proud to have received some wonderful feedback from some of the placement agencies that our level 4 students undertake placement with.  They have found us friendly, efficient and collaborative to work with.  We pride ourselves on the competencies of our students that go into placment and foster positive relationships with as many placement agencies as we can.
